Jacqueline “Jackie” Hager, 19, of the 10300 block of Lufkin, was a passenger in a Grand Am that was stalled in a lane of traffic in the 9500 block of Gateway South.

A 2001 Ford F150 being driven by 52-year-old Craig Lewis was also traveling on Gateway South and in the same lane as the stalled Grand Am when he crashed into the rear of the vehicle.

Hager, a backseat passenger, died at the scene.

Police said that at this time investigators do not believe charges will be filed against Lewis.

Editor’s Note: This story has been corrected after El Paso Police corrected the spelling of Hager’s name that was previously misspelled by them on two occasions.
