New Year’s Day babies in El Paso

EL PASO, Texas – El Paso’s first New Year’s Day babies were born at midnight within seconds of each other. Both mothers say they are excited about the memorable birthdays.

The two baby girls were born at Providence Memorial hospital at exactly midnight. Mothers confirm the deliveries were not planned for New Year’s Day.

Anaiz Gonzalez gave birth to little Kamilla at exactly 12 a.m. She weighed 7 lbs 5 ounces and measured 20.5 inches. This is Gonzalez’s third child. Gonzalez says the original due date was set for Jan. 2.

Rosa Garcia gave birth to little Inna 20 seconds after Gonzalez. Inna weighed and measured exactly the same as Kamilla. This is Garcia’s second child. She says Inna wasn’t due until Jan. 17.

Both mothers and babies are doing fine.
