ABC-7 First Alert: stormy saturday across the borderland

Scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms will impact the region today, continuing into the evening. Some storms could be strong, producing heavy rainfall, gusty winds, and localized flash flooding, especially in flood-prone areas and near mountain slopes.

Highs will be cooler, with the lowlands only reaching the 80s, a break from recent heat.

Storm chances remain high into Sunday before drying out early next week.
