UT athletic director visits El Paso to raise scholarship money, pump up fan base

University of Texas at Austin Athletic Director DeLoss Dodds visited El Paso Tuesday afternoon to speak at the Longhorn Happy Hour for the Longhorn Foundation.

Dodds, along with former UT football head coach David MacWilliams and former UT defensive line coach Mike Tolly Tolleson were on hand to help raise money that would go toward scholarships for local students attending UT.
Dodds and his former staff members were also on hand to answer questions about UT athletics, as well as pump up the local fan base for the upcoming season.

The Texas Longhorns start their season Sept. 1 against Wyoming and it’s a game you can see on the Longhorn Network.

The Longhorns were scrutinized a bit for starting their own network, but Dodds still has no regrets for starting it.
