Widespread internet outage reported as Amazon Web Services works on issue

Hundreds of online services and platforms are getting back up and running after a widespread outage early Monday.

Affected services include Venmo, Snapchat, Facebook, Prime Video and Amazon's cloud computing, accoding to downdector.com.

Amazon Web Services said it had issues with its cloud service operations. It said the outage lasted three hours and included entertainment and gaming websites.
