ABC-7 First Alert: First major cold front of the season will bring wind chills, strong winds, and colder nighttime lows

We have issued a First Alert for the first major cold front of the season. This system will bring wind chills, strong winds, and colder nighttime lows

The Borderland saw above normal temperatures today. Highs will be in the 80s with lows in the 40s and 50s.

Tomorrow, will be warm again. A backdoor cold front will arrive late Tuesday night which will bring breezy to windy northeastern winds on Wednesday, wind gusts could be up to 45 miles per hour. Wind chills Wednesday could be in the 30s and 40s. Likewise, Wednesday will be colder... Afternoon highs will be in the 60s, lows will be mostly in the 40s.... some rural areas in the Mesilla Valley can be near freezing. 

After a cold start Thursday morning, the Borderland will then experience a sharp rise with highs in the 70s and 80s again. 

Halloween will be above normal highs in the 70s with lows in the 40s and 50s. No rain is expected for the next week.
