Chihuahuas Get First El Paso Win
The El Paso Chihuahuas racked up a season-high 18 hits in their 12-3 win over the Sacramento River Cats Friday night at Southwest University Park. The win snapped a four-game losing streak for the Chihuahuas and secured the first El Paso victory in Southwest University Park history.
Sacramento went ahead 3-0 in the first inning on a two-run home run by Nate Freiman and an RBI double by Jake Goebbert. El Paso would go on to score 12 unanswered runs, include at least one run each in the second through seventh innings. Brooks Conrad went 1-for-4 with three RBIs, while Adam Moore, Tyler Greene and Cody Decker tallied three hits each for El Paso.
