UTEP Women’s Golf Coach Jere Pelletier announced the signing of Emilie Bechadergue, Sofia Castiello, Patricia Rico-Avello and June Ting to national letters of intent for the 2014-15 season.
They will join returnees Amber Herrera, Alisa Rodriguez and Conference USA All-Tournament team member Camino Sardinero.
“I think we have a really good group of newcomers coming in,” Pelletier said. “I’m excited about the possibilities for next year.
Bechadergue, Rico-Avello and Ting will all have freshman eligibility this fall. Castiello will be a sophomore after transferring from Northeastern State University.
Bechadergue hails from Ventabren, France and is ranked 110th in her home country. Castiello is from Guadalajara, Mexico, and finished second at the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association Championship last month to earn a spot on the All-Tournament Team. Rico-Avello has recorded numerous first-place finishes in tournaments around her hometown of Madrid, Spain. Ting comes to UTEP from Taipei City in Taiwan.
