Rocky Ward Era Ends at New Mexico State

New Mexico State Athletics Director Dr. McKinley Boston announced Tuesday, May 27, that the NM State Athletics Department has terminated the contract of head baseball coach Rocky Ward, effective immediately. Ward served as NM State’s head baseball coach for 16 seasons (1997-00 & 2003-14) tallying a 455-458-2 overall record. He also served as an assistant coach for the Aggies in 2001 & 2002.

“We thank Coach Ward for his contributions and support in serving our baseball program over the past 18 years,” Boston said.

NM State will conduct a national search to replace Coach Ward.
