I-10 closed in both directions between Executive and Porfirio Diaz

I-10 near UTEP is closed in both direction from Porfirio Diaz to Executive.

The closure began at 5 a-m this morning and will last until 6 a-m tomorrow.

Crews are working on the Spur 1966 overpass.

The project was halted last month when two workers were killed by an alleged drunk driver.

TXDOT says you can use the following alternate routes:

If your headed west exit at the Porfirio Diaz exit ramp and re-enter at the Schuster entrance ramp to I-10. If you are heading east can exit at the Sunland Park exit ramp and continue along Paisano Dr. onto the US-54 ramp to reenter I-10.

Another option is Mesa Drive.
