Strong storms moved through El Paso county

Scattered thunderstorms and heavy rainfall moved through El Paso and portions of Hudspeth county. The scattered thunderstorms continued tracking into Sierra and eastern Luna counties. Doppler radar indicates the storms drifting into New Mexico will slowly spread west increasing storm chances in Deming and Silver City. The El Paso International Airport picked up 0.04″ of rain so far, while the National Weather Service in Santa Theresa received trace amounts. El Paso-30% chance for scattered showers, Wednesday-Sunny, with a highs possibly reaching triple digits, 10% for showers.
Las Cruces- 30% chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms. Wednesday Sunny, with forecast highs in the upper 90’s.
