Traffic accident at I-10 West and Mesa backing up traffic; choose alternate route

An accident at I-10 West at Mesa Exit 11 has closed all lanes and backup is to just past Sunland Park Drive. It was not immediately clear if rain was a factor in the accident.

Alternate routes to consider are exiting at Executive Drive and taking N. Mesa or Paisano before hitting the traffic snarl.

Or if you’re already in the traffic jam, you can take the Sunland Park Mall exit or the Resler exit. Expect delays with accident not expected to be cleared for about another hour.
