All lanes on I-10 East near Airway reopened after person hit by a car

UPDATE (10:06 AM) -- According to the Texas Department of Transportation (TXDOT), all lanes of I-10 East near Airway Blvd. have reopened after being closed for several hours as the El Paso Police Department investigated a pedestrian being hit by car.

According to a spokesman from the El Paso Fire Department (EPFD), the pedestrian was taken to a hospital in unknown condition by someone at the scene.

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) – A pedestrian was hit by a car on I-10 East and Airway Blvd., according to the El Paso Police Department.

Police say they were called to the scene at 2:48 a.m.

Special Traffic Investigations is investigating the incident.

Traffic is being diverted to Geronimo.
