Sunland Park Chamber of Commerce hosts fall family festival

SUNLAND PARK, N.M. (KVIA) — The Sunland Park Chamber of Commerce hosted the Harvest of Happiness Fall Family Festival at the Sunland Park Sports Complex, bringing local families together to celebrate the start of fall.

The festival featured activities and resources for families, including a pumpkin decorating contest, community giveaways and prizes such as fresh produce.

The event also provided an opportunity for the state to promote its free child care program, which helps families access child care while they work, attend school or pursue other activities.

“We want to make sure that the community knows and everybody takes advantage of that service so that they can work and they can go to school or do whatever they need to do and have their kids taken care of properly,” host Freddy Hernandez said.
