El Paso Police arrest mother in toddler’s death in July
El Paso Police made an arrest in the death of Hailey Marie Harper, 2, who died July 6 after she was allegedly left in a hot car.
Daisy Mora Harper, Hailey’s mother, was arrested Wednesday and charged with Injury to a Child (Omission) and Criminal Negligent Homicide.
She was booked into the El Paso County Jail, her bond is set at $400,000.
On July 6, police officers responded to a home on the 13000 block of Enrique Gomez and found paramedics rendering aid to Harper.
She was transported to Sierra Providence East where she was pronounced dead.
An autopsy revealed Hailey died of heat exposure.
