Finding ‘Mater’ a home

The Human Society of El Paso is looking for caring, loving home for Mater.

In December of last year, the terrier was attacked by a pair of wild dogs.

A truck driver traveling through El Paso spotted the vicious attack and pulled over. He managed to scare off the dogs and save Mater, who suffered severe injuries to his legs.

After surgery, Mater left with only three legs, one of his hind legs had to be amputated. He now walks by balancing on his two front legs.

It took months of rehabilitation and a foster home, but he is now ready for a permanent home.

If you are interested in taking Mater home, you can call the Humane Society of El Paso at 532-6971 ext 110. You can also visit the shelter at 4991 Fred Wilson.
