Get Hired Job Expo 2013

El Paso-area job seekers have had tomorrow circled on their calendars for quite a while, the 11th-annual get-hired employment fair is the largest in El paso and one of the biggest in the state. Businesses began setting up their booths this morning at the Downtown Convention Center Workforce Solutions Upper Rio Grande C-E-O Lorenzo Reyes says employers are filling jobs across a variety of industries and experience levels.Employers must have job openings or be hiring in the near future in order to reserve a booth.
Reyes says job seekers can separate themselves by dressing professionally, bringing an updated resume, researching the employers beforehand, and having a positive attitude. He stated ” Regardless of whether this is your first time looking for a job, or whether this is your second job, this is a good opportunity to impress your next employer and make a significant impact in the future of this community.” The job fair begins at 9 a-m. a free shuttle service will pick up at these locations starting at 8:20 a-m.
There should also be ample parking and shuttle services Downtown. Reyes says get there early,last year some folks were camped out by 5:30 a-m, and traffic backed up on I-10 near the downtown exits. Click on the link and print out a free parking pass. http://www.urgjobs.com/
