Man arrested after allegedly causing bus crash near Mesquite

DOÑA ANA COUNTY, New Mexico (KVIA) — The Doña Ana County Sheriff's Office have arrested a man after allegedly causing a bus crash on I-10 east near Mesquite, New Mexico.

According to the Sheriff's Office, 24-year-old Aroni Diaz caused a disturbance with the bus driver while traveling east on the interstate.

The disturbance allegedly caused the driver to lose control of the bus, causing it to crash into the median.

The Sheriff's Office said Diaz fled on foot but was arrested by deputies.

Doña Ana Fire Rescue crews responded to the crash, no injuries were reported.

All lanes on I-10 were closed as a result of the crash.
