Modest Mouse to perform Sept. 17 at El Paso County Coliseum
Modest Mouse is making its way back the Borderland.
The indie rock band will perform Sept. 17 at the El Paso County Coliseum.
Modest Mouse last put out an album about seven years ago, about the same time they last performed in El Paso. “We Were Dead Before the Ship Sank” featured some of the bands best songs, including the more upbeat “Dashboard” and “Florida.” In 2004, the band released “Good News for People Who Love Bad News,” which featured one its most recognizable songs, “Float On.” But the band is best known for its slow yet melodic and even haunting sound it perfected back in the 90s, with classics like “3rd Planet” and “Dramamine.”
Tickets for Modest Mouse, can be purchased at All That Music, The Headstand, Happy House, The Pizza Joint and online at ticketmaster.com. Tickets cost $30/$33.
Organizers with the Neon Desert Music Festival announced the concert Friday, in addition to a performance by Bomba Estereo and Los Rakas on Sept. 9 at the Lowbrow Palace.
