El Paso baseball shop helps shape MLB history

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA)—Overfly Sports in Downtown El Paso has become a leading baseball bat manufacturer, creating bats for major and minor-league players. Now, the shop has another accolade it can add to its growing list!

Earlier this season, the shop custom-created a baseball bat for St. Louis Cardinals rookie Joshua Baez.

During a game against the Chicago Cubs in August, the 23-year-old became the first player to hit a home run in each of his first three at-bats in the major leagues. The game also marked Baez’s major league debut.

ABC-7 spoke to the owner of Overfly Sports about the moment that will go down in sports history.
