EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- Texas Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick has announced that he will be speaking to the media Monday afternoon at 4 p.m.

This press conference is scheduled to take place in East El Paso, and as of Monday afternoon, neither the Lt. Governor nor his team have confirmed the reason for Patrick's appearance in the Borderland on Monday.

Lt. Governor Patrick is running for re-election for a potential fourth term in Austin this November, in which he will be running against Democratic nominee and Texas State Representative Vikki Goodwin.
