St. Patrick Cathedral welcomes new rector
Father Trini Fuentes will be giving his first mass at the cathedral Saturday.
Parishioners said goodbye to Father Richard Matty after he died of natural causes last year.
Fuentes will now oversee the cathedral. He was born in Pecos, Texas.
He’s been a priest for 35 years.Fuentez was also the pastor for the Queen of Peace Parish for 18 of those years. Fuentes said he wants parishioners to know he will work hard to keep the parish alive. And he welcomes anyone to come meet him.
