UTEP loses home opener

UTEP lost Saturday’s home opener against the Texas Tech Red Raiders late in the fourth quarter.

In the end, the Miners just couldn’t get past the Red Raiders.

The final score was 30 to 26. Although the Miners were leading in the fourth, with just two and a half minutes left, Texas Tech scored the winning touchdown.

This was the 22nd time both schools had met on the field.

UTEP is now 1-1 for the season.
