El Paso Police looking for help identifying man who allegedly struck child in restaurant Aug. 26

El Paso Police are investigating an alleged assault on a small child.

The assault allegedly occurred when a man, woman, and small male child were eating at the Great American on George Dieter at about 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 26.

Police say that while seated at the dining table the man struck the child on the face, causing the child to bleed from his nose and mouth.

Police say the man then grabbed the child and left the restaurant with the woman following.

The department’s Crime Against Persons (CAC) unit is assisting with this investigation.

Detectives have asked if anyone knows the identity of the male in the picture to call the El Paso Police Department at (915) 832-4400.
