El Paso has low quality of life ranking, Nerdwallet website says

El Paso isn’t ranking too high when it comes to quality of life – at least according to Nerdwallet.

Nerdwallet ranked the top 100 cities in the U.S. when it comes to quality of life and El Paso came in at No. 84.

To come up with the list, Nerdwallet looked several factors, including the median price of rent (as a percentage of median income), the average number of hours residents spend commuting to work and working, the percentage of residents with health care coverage and the unemployment rate for the 100 largest U.S. cities.

El Paso’s stats according to Nerdwallet:

PERCENT OF PEOPLE WITH INCOME BELOW POVERTY LEVEL: 22.80%

PERCENT OF POPULATION WITH HEALTH INSURANCE COVERAGE: 73.20%

UNEMPLOYMENT RATE: 7.60%
