EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- The historic political sea-change in Texas as a result of the midterm elections is the subject of much speculation in the days that have followed.

Democrats sweept all state-wide offices on the ballot and took control of the Texas House of Representatives for the first time in more than three decades.

James Talarico became the first Democrat to win a senate seat in Texas since 1988.

And Gina Hinojosa is headed to the governor’s mansion, the first Latina to do so and the only Democrat to win the office since Ann Richards in 1990.

The question now is what will this mean for the politics in the state?

As the status-quo shifts, and the next legislative session coming in just a couple of months, what will actually happen for policy and in the legislature?

This Sunday, join host Andrew J. Polk as he speaks with experts and political veterans for their perspective on what happened on Tuesday, what will happen now, and how political power shifts have impacted Texas previously.

Tune in tonight at 10:35 p.m., right after ABC-7 at 10.
