Upper Valley residents get answers at River Bend project meeting

People who live in the Upper Valley near River Bend Drive saw project renderings and had their questions answered about the new hike and bike trail Tuesday night. Many people came and went during the community input meeting that lasted two hours at Zach White Elementary on the 4200 block of Roxbury Drive.
The pathway will be on River Bend Drive between Frontera Road and Turnstone Drive. Construction will take longer than three months and will begin in September.

The community meeting had an informal feel, but the River Bend project manager was on hand to speak with residents. District 8 City Representative Cortney Niland said the hike and bike greenbelt will hopefully provide sidewalks so children can safely get to the schools in the area. She told ABC-7 $850,000 have already been secured from the state for the project.
