Jade the therapy bulldog honored nationally
ortegon introduces us to a special four- legged friend in las cruces spreading love wherever she goes. it’s a story you’ll see only on abc-7. pkg: “nats” meet jada- nine-year old english bulldog. “nats” jada i a therapy dog and runs on a busy schedule. tuesdays she visits schools, saturdays she visits nursing homes. on thursdays, is where you’ll find her at memorial medical center–which is where we met her loving owner, debbie. “she loves people, sh loves food and…she loves coming ot the visits, starts running aorund the house… she’s a nstural at it.” jada and her other therapy dog friends love to go above and beyond to put a smile on people’s face, “nats” but mi jada is special. she’s made more than 500 visits! and she’s being recognized nationally for it, too. jada was awarded the american kennel club distinguished therapy dog title it’s no easy task. in order to be recognized, the owner and dog must have completed 400 voluntary visits. jada is only one of 168 dogs in the country to earn the title … and the only american bulldog to do so. “nats” but t jada–it isn’t about the awards. “there wa one instance…smiling… ” ” think she takes her mind off their problems.” the four legge animal just wants to leave you feeling a little happier. “she just wants th attention..and food.” whether she’s making rounds at the hospital, with her furry friends or her owner–jada is there to lend a paw. “She’s just an angel.” “nats” jo, ab the city was one step closer to completing the country club road abc7. the city was one step closer to completing the country club
