Kyle Cox attends taping of Dancing with the Stars

has duchene muscular dystrophy. tonight i’d like to tell you more about kristin who – like many moms does everything she can so her son lives life to the fullest. + kyle was an active child, but the disorder confined him to a wheelchair when he was in elementary school. he doesn’t have use of his legs but that hasn’t stopped him from doing a lot of the things teenagers enjoy. like going to prom or joing the band. his mom, kristin wouldn’t have it any other way. she fought the el paso school district to allow him a service dog at school – and won! she also fought for kyle – who played the euphonium in the coronado marching band -to go on a trip to the nation’s capitol – and won! she says every day is a blessing and opportunity to make memories. kyle knows his limitations, but for kristin the sky’s the limit to grant any wish on her son’s bucket list. so this weekend they headed to los angeles. kyle and his mom love to dance and before going off to college this year, the two had a ritual – watching abc’s dancing with the stars and dancing. and when his illness restricted his movements, they improvised. so kristin found a way to get her son to a performance.. heres a picture of kyle – in a tux – his sister katelyn and mom as they headed to the studios! the three were in the audience for week five of “dancing wit the stars”..
