San Elizario boys soccer team wins state championship

Not even lightning could stop the San Elizario boys soccer team from winning the 4A state championship.

San Elizario defeated Liberty Hill in Georgetown, 4-2.

The game was delayed for 30 minutes in the second half due to lightning. San Elizario had a 3-1 lead when the game was delayed.

Goals were scored by Abraham Escareno, Francisco Ruiz, Marcos Utajara, and Edwin Marquez.
