UTEP’s Centennial Plaza officially opens

UTEP officials unveiled the long-awaited Centennial Plaza in the center of campus Saturday morning.

The project had been under construction for years and was completed behind schedule.

But students expressed relief as they walk through the middle of campus, something they hadn’t done in two years.

“I think its great. It turned out beautiful. Its really nice to have been able to walk in front of the geology building and psychology building for the first time in two years,” UTEP student Taylor Harper said.
