Rebuilding Together helps local El Pasoans renovate homes

National Rebuild Day was April 25, and El Paso took part in the community event.

Rebuilding Together is a national organization that helps renovate the homes of elderly and disabled residents.

This Saturday Rebuilding Together El Paso sent around 600 volunteers to around 25 homes in the Borderland.

ABC-7 StormTRACK Meteorologist Krystal Klei was one of many volunteers this year.

She volunteered with the El Paso Mortgage Bankers Association and Lone Star Title Company of El Paso.

At each home, volunteers cleaned and repainted the outer walls, as well as cleaned and landscaped the yards. Rebuilding Together will also complete minor repairs for the homeowners.

The El Paso Chihuahuas also joined in with Rebuilding Together. Manager Pat Murphy and fan-favorite Cody Decker helped work on another home in the Borderland.
