The Battle of EL Dorado is coming to the Sun Bowl

This Saturday, the Battle of EL Dorado is coming to the Sun Bowl. This will be the first time in history that the marching band competition has been here in our city.

Sports X, UTEP and iHeart Radio are all bringing this event to our area.

Alcorn State University from Lorman, Mississippi, Mississippi Valley State University from Itta Bena, Mississippi, and Prairie View A&M University from Prairie View, Texas are all making the trip to the Borderland.

Las Cruces and El Paso high school drum lines are invited to compete for the Battle of EL Dorado Drum Line Championship during the iHeart Radio Tailgate Party in parking lot P9 from 11a.m.-1p.m.

Each drum line will receive four free tickets for competing and the winner will be announced during the event, which starts at 2p.m.
