Several Sun Metro routes will be affected this weekend by two events

Sun Metro has announced detours due to two events this weekend.

SATURDAY DETOURS

Sun Metro will detour nine routes and temporarily relocate the Robert E. Lee Five Points Transit Terminal, 2830 Montana, from 9:30 a.m. to about 12 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, to accommodate the Black History Month Parade.

Sun Metro staff will monitor the impacted area to help passengers; and drivers will make courtesy stops as required. Alternate boarding sites for Five Points Terminal:

Route 25 and routes 35, 50 and 55 inbound will board on Tularosa between Raynor and Piedras
Routes 30, 32, 33, 34 and 41 will board on Piedras at Grant.
Routes 35, 50 and 55 outbound will board on Tularosa between Raynor and San Marcial.

SUNDAY DETOURS

The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure event will require Sun Metro to detour 18 routes from 5 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Sunday, March 1.

All routes servicing the downtown area will be detoured and may possibly see delays due to traffic congestion. Sun Metro staff will monitor the affected area and drivers will make courtesy stops along the detoured routes as required. Some detours may end before 11 a.m., as the race moves through the area and streets are opened.

Detoured routes include: 4, 9, 10, 11, 14, 15, 22, 33, 34, 35, 36, 42, 50, 55, 59, 61, 62 and 66.
