UTEP Football: Two Miners Receive Preseason Honors

higher for the utep football team as they look to build on last season… they’ll head into the year with a couple of players who are earning national attention… senior wide receiver autrey golden is on the preseason watch list for the paul hornung award… the award is given annually to college football’s most versatile player… golden ran back kicks … and played both wide receiver and running back last season… and he did them all well… he was an all conference selection last year… running back aaron jones also recognized … he’s been named to the maxwell award preseason watch list …. that award is given to america’s college football player of the year… he was also an all conference selection… rushing for 1,321 yards… fourth most in a single season in school history… by the way… we’re less than a month away from fall football camp… they get going on august 5th…
