Small-plane crash near Truth or Consequences kills pilot, passenger

A small plane crashed killed both people on board Wednesday morning near the Truth or Consequences airport.

Officers with the New Mexico Department of Game and Fish spotted the Cessna Comanche while conducting aerial surveillance near the Truth or Consequences Municipal Airport.

New Mexico State Police said the downed airplane was registered to 48-year-old David Reasor of La Luz, N.M. He died in the crash. The passenger, 37-year-old Jason Robert Glenn of Layton, Utah, also died in the crash.

The Federal Aviation Administration responded to the site and is investigating the cause of the crash. The National Transportation Safety Board will also be conducting an investigation. The cause of the crash is unknown at this time.
