Miners add JUCO safety Brendan Royal

The UTEP Miners begin their fall camp in Ruidoso on August 6th. But before the squad takes to the field, they added more depth to their secondary.

The Miners added 6’0″ safety Brendan Royal who previously played for the City College of San Francisco.

The past two seasons Royal contributed 52 tackles, 7.5 tackles-for-loss, two fumble recoveries and seven pass breakups.

Royal is eligible to take the field and play for the upcoming ’15-’16 season. It is still yet to be seen what type of role he will play on the team.
