Shooting under investigation in Northeast El Paso

El Paso police are investigating a shooting that happened Thursday night in Northeast El Paso.

According to police, a gunshot victim drove himself to William Beaumont Army Medical Center. The victim told police he was shot on the Patriot Freeway. Police have shut down U.S. 54 North at Hercules to conduct their investigation.

Police say the victim is in critical condition, and the shooting does not appear to be gang related.
