Man accused of pointing shotgun at girlfriend
Las Cruces, NM- A man was arrested earlier this week for allegedly pointing a loaded shotgun at his girlfriend.
Gary L. Kidd is charged with one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Kidd and his girlfriend got into an argument at their home in Las Cruces, police said.
Detectives said the argument escalated Kidd retrieved a shotgun from his closet and pointed it at his girlfriend.
The woman was able to escape the house and call for help. No injuries were reported. Police located the shotgun inside the home.
Kidd was booked into the Dona Ana County Detention Center but has since been released on a $3,000 secured bond.
