Update: Surveillance Video Captured Deadly Lee Trevino Crash

Surveillance video from a business shows an alleged drunk driver running a red light in his pick up, then crashing into a small car, according to court documents obtained by ABC-7.

The deadly crash happened at about 2:30 a.m. Sunday at Trawood and Lee Trevino in East El Paso.

The passenger in the car — 25-year-old Adrian Reyes — died from his injuries. The driver of the car also suffered injuries.

The driver of the pickup, 28-year-old Etiel Porras, was charged with intoxication manslaughter and intoxication assault.

Porras was taken to University Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries. Police arrested him after he was released from the hospital.

Court documents state the officers who responded to the crash had to obtain a blood search warrant because Porras allegedly refused to provide a breath specimen at the scene.
