Fabens deals with hail damaging crops

this afternon with reporter evan folan in fabens. at about 3:30, take a look at what he got caught in: “i’m evan folan, live out her in fabens with abc-7, just being pelted with hail the size of marbles, we’ll keep you updated, we’ll see you on air at 4 to give you the latest. again, we’re under a first alert.” evan is still in fabens tonight and continues our complete coverage.. i’ve been out in fabens all afternoon and although things are calm now it was a different story around 3:30 a bad situation for farmers is now even worse. this is video from earlier this afternoon. the hail and rain coming down in sheets! and it did it continued to do so for over 15 minutes. about half a mile up the road there is fog and ice still on the ground. we caught up with a local farmer to give us an update on his crops after this down pour. sot: scott roosevelt ” …there is still a lot of hail east of here.. the trees are torn up… the cotton that was left is all on the ground now” although, a majority of his crops are damaged he says it’s all part of being a farmer and there is always next year. reporting live in fabens edf abc 7 heading north now up through dona ana county
