El Paso woman opens food pantry ahead of holidays
One El Paso woman is striving to bring change to the Borderland.
Dorene Corothers said she has invested time and money into creating You Eat, I Eat Community Unity Food Pantry.
“I have spent $7,000 of my own money to make this happen but I have no more to get the rest of the supplies.”
Corothers said the food pantry’s mission is to support El Pasoans who are in need of a little help.
She will host a block party and food drive in November to help stock her food pantry.
