Las Palmas and Del Sol Medical Center host Race for the Brain to raise awareness for stroke prevention.
The 8k run began at Las Palmas LifeCare Center.
Strokes are the fifth leading cause of death in the United States and event coordinators used this race to spread awareness about recognizing signs of a stroke.
