Road closures may affect morning and evening commutes
Detours and delays can be expected for this week all throughout the city of El Paso.
Below are the list of closures and how they will impact your commutes to work.
I-10/Americas – Phase III Project:
Sunday, Jan. 24, through Friday, Jan. 29
Complete closures:
– Americas (Loop 375) northbound between North Loop Overpass and Americas Interchange
– Joe Battle (Loop 375) southbound between Bob Hope Overpass and Americas Interchange
Go-10 construction:
Closures at Mesa:
For three nights next week, the I-10 eastbound exit ramp at North Mesa Street will be closed, and the eastbound South Desert Boulevard frontage road from Thorn Avenue to the Mesa intersection will be closed.
Night 1: 9 p.m. Monday, Jan. 25, to 5 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 26
Night 2: 9 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 26, to 5 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 27
Night 3: 9 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 27, to 5 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 28
Closure of Resler ramp:
The Resler Drive flyover entrance ramp to I-10 eastbound will be closed overnight from 9 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 28, to 5 a.m. Friday, Jan. 29.
These closures are necessary while crews set up traffic barriers.
Border West Expressway:
Paisano Drive construction to begin Monday, Jan. 25.
New traffic patterns include:
– No left turns from St. Vrain Street to Coles Street on Paisano Drive in both eastbound and westbound directions.
– During the day, there will only be two lanes of traffic on Paisano Drive in each direction.
– Eastbound Delta Drive will be reduced to one lane between Coles Street and Cypress Avenue
– Wesbound Delta Drive will be down to one lane between Cypress Avenue and Coles Street.
