Police need your help finding a hit-and-run driver
On Sunday around 8:30 p.m., New Mexico State Police responded to a hit and run pedestrian fatality near mile marker 2 on State Road 478, just south of O’Hara Road, in Anthony.
The preliminary investigation indicated Ruben Benjamin Valenzuela 22, of El Paso, TX, was walking southbound on State Road 478 and was struck by an unknown vehicle which fled the scene. The New Mexico State Police Crash Reconstruction Unit was activated to assist in this investigation.
Anyone with information regarding this hit and run crash should contact the New Mexico State Police Las Cruces office at 575-382-2500. This crash is still under investigation and no further details are available.
