Police need public’s help identifying elderly man

Crimes Against Person’s detectives are asking for the public’s assistance in locating family members of an elderly gentleman that was found wandering.

82-year-old Simon Armendarias-Mendoza (Alias Armendaris) was found wandering but because of mental impairment could not provide officers with any information about himself or any relatives.

A Texas identification and US passport were found on his person but the listed address on the id was not valid. Detectives are working with Adult Protective Services in attempting to locate family and have contacted the Mexican Consulate in this endeavor.

Any person who knows or may have information about Mr. Armendarias-Mendoza or his relatives is asked to call Det. Aman at (915) 212-4063.
