Jury still divided in Lopez murder trial

11- month-old foster child to death. antonio lopez is charged with capital murder. the jury resumed deliberations this morning.. and after a full day at it again … jurors are sequestered for another night. abc- seven’s jerry najera is live at the county courthouse… open … with the story developing now… everything has wrapped up today… and jurors did not reach a verdict the jury deliberated for about 8 hours. at 12 they took a lunch break but when they came back in they had a question for the judge. they wanted to know about a specific statement from the medical examiner. the jury wanted to know if there was a police presence during the autopsy. the court presence during the autopsy. the court read back the transcripts from last week and the medical examiner did say he thought it was unusual that police were not at the autopsy considering this was suspected homicide. / once the jury came out at the end of the day they told the judge they were divided in making a decision. they will be sequestered. deliberations will continue tomorrow at 8 a.m. jerry, live at the courthouse in downtown el paso. thank you./ this las cruces man is accused
