Local schools collect items for citywide clothing drive

The Elegant Penguin has reached out to Candlelighters to help students collect clothes for the less fortunate while raising money for their schools.

About 50 schools participated in the annual clothing drive.

The two schools with the most clothes collected will get to meet Marc Brown, the creator if Arthur the Aardvark, at the Elegant Penguins “Couple and Family Expo” on April 2.

The schools participating in the drive will be:

Mission Ridge
Horizon Heights

You can also support your neighborhood school by dropping off some clothes in the Candlelighters donation bins.
