Marvin Menzies to interview for UNLV head coaching job
LAS VEGAS, Nev. – New Mexico State’s men’s basketball coach, Marvin Menzies, will interview for the head coaching job at UNLV, according to a source close to the NMSU program and the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
Menzies has been considered a candidate since UNLV fired Dave Rice earlier this season.
The Aggies have gone 198-111 in nine seasons under Menzies. The team has also reached the NCAA tournament four of the past five seasons.
Menzies has previous coaching experience at UNLV as an assistant during the 2004-05 season.
Cincinnati’s head coach, Mick Cronin, recently turned down the UNLV opening.
