Person pulled from Rio Grande

ABC-7 is following a water rescue on the Texas-New Mexico border near Sunland Park, NM.

Late Wednesday afternoon, El Paso Police and El Paso Firefighters were called to 3450 Anapra Rd. on a report a person fell into the Rio Grande.

When they arrived on the scene, El Paso emergency crews report the person was already pulled out of the river.

Paramedics performed CPR immediately and took the person to a hospital in unknown condition.

An EPFD spokesman says the person may have been fishing at the time.

There also appears to be confusion over who has jurisdiction over this investigation: El Paso Police or Sunland Park Police.
